Sodixho and the Great Indian Tamasha

The Lady in front of me in cash counter at Spuncer's let out a scream "Eee Maa, Ki Hobeee", which when you translate from bengali literally means "Holy Shit", well there could have been better ways to put it but then, well lets keep going..

So Madam from 1st Jan,2012 aap sodixho nahii lega..
from 1st jan,2012 you wont be accepting the Sodixho food coupon's.

Nahii madam, some problem going on and that we are to reach a settlement with the Sodixho company on the same.

Hmmm, well thennn, rukhoooo screamed the women, humm wapas shopping kar ke aayega, i have to readdress what i have picked up.

as she made her way to provisioning department, a women almost her 50's her need and demands and penache for things are certainly diferent from a blonde who would be stepping into her twentie's, or getting into college.

I decided to stick around and just observe, what a piece of paper has done, which is now being considered stronger than Money.

I have always seen different people react in different way's towards the sodixho coupon, say in my Office canteen when i go for a cup of Tea, i have seen people yelling "tere paass Sodixho haiii toh de dena, i have only cash"...

This used to amaze me, well is Sodixho also not money, if it is not then it certainly would not have been paid as part of our working compensation, this is just an alternate that the individual in a organization chooses to save some tax for himself at the end of the day. Anyway's you can't say much do you... Excuse Me, came a sweet voice from behind...

Well welll phew, my heart just skipped a beat, she was beautiful, a women in her twenties may be around 23 or 24 who care's, those word's just got jumbled up so bad, that it sounded to me as "Squeeze Meee" hmmm Men and our way's with world i exclaimed as i made way for her to move toward's the cosmetic section.

People i realized then have Needs, wants, Luxuires... and it is not that a Need for a person is a Luxury to the other... noo Noooo.... it is not, infact i can strongly say that a need or a Luxury changes for the same person during his own period of time.

For Example: As a kid in my growing up day's, the only biscuit i could grab at was a Britania Thinarnoot biscuit and Bouborn or say any choclate cream biscuit was a luxury for Me, but the same changed in College, where grabing a biscuit was not a deal, but yes a 1000 rs note surely was, now at work and enjoying once own earning the 1000rs note does not seem as a luxury anymore, it bceomes a need, and luxuries are far greater..

In the same way the needs as an individual before he/she get's married and enter's a relationship where their commitment chnage's their outlook towards products, things and life changes in line with the same. A girl in college/at work before marriage would not think for a minute to get her hair straightened for 7000 bucks or splurge in dresses worth 1000 of bucks, would stop and think atleast once after she enter's a commitment, well if she is not thinking, then her surname may be ambani, tata or a birla else her marriage is heading for a doomsday.

Do you need a cover sir ask's the lady in the counter, Naah it's ok i have it as i collect a box of biscuits and some cake and make my way out of the store, i overhear a couple arguing "Aree Tumhara Gillete Mach 3 ka Blade important haiii yaa... 4 Litre cooking Oil" is sodixhoo ke Liyeee

All i could do was give myself a Smile .... :)
